Ian,
As I men?oned, the normal DWR protocol is that any new impacts require an applica?on for a 401 modifica?on and
review/approval by DWR.
That said, I’ve figured out a “work around” for this project. No addi?onal ac?on will be necessary, and I’ll file the
informa?on you provided. Please understand that this is specific to this situa?on/project only, future situa?ons or
projects with new or relocated impacts should be coordinated with DWR.
Thanks,

Sam/Sue,
Thank you both for the quick responses.
Sue – Just to confirm the additional temporary impact would be handled in a similar fashion for the 401?

Hi Ian,
Given the addi?onal impact is only temporary in nature, I can simply add your email to our records, to include the
updated design drawing. No further ac?on is required by our office at this ?me.

Subject: \[Non-DoD Source\] Long Creek Greenway and Stream Enhancement - Phase 3 (DWR #202112678 v2 & SAW-
2023-00047): Stream Crossing Modification
Hey Sam & Andrew,
Construction has started on Long Creek Greenway and Stream Enhancement Phase 3 (DWR #20211267 v2 & SAW-
2023-00047) and the contractor let us know that installation of one of the temporary stream crossings is not
feasible at its current location on McIntyre Creek. We’d therefore like to shift the crossing 50 to 100 feet
downstream of the permitted location (see attached figure for location). The shift would result in an additional
temporary impact along McIntyre Creek because temporary impact S15 is still necessary to remove an existing
golf cart bridge.
Would the additional impact require a permit modification? If so, what documentation (GIS figure, etc.) would be
su?icient to document the adjustment?
Thanks,
2
