The chlorinated effluent from the Town Creek Treatment Train (TE) is combined with the Grant Creek Treatment Train chlorinated effluent (GE). The combined chlorinated effluents (YE) join together on the Grant Creek property are dechlorinated, then flow through cascade aeration, and then discharge into the Yadkin River. Although not permitted as separate WWTPs, Town Creek and Grant Creek Treatment Trains will be treated as separate WWTPs in the LTMP with data from both sites used to determine pollutant removal efficiencies and plant inhibition thresholds. All SIUs and Locals are monitored per IU Permit requirements and all POC's once per year. The City uses a Yearly Monitoring Plan. The Plan is followed as closely as possible weather permitting. If an SIU is not monitored in the month indicated, it is monitored as soon as possible. Uncontrollables are composite and/or grab samples at points in the collection system that serves residential, commercial (including dentists and other medical), and any unpermitted non-SIUs. Uncontrollable sampling, though not required, will be monitored annually. Salisbury will use the actual sludge that is disposed of as our sludge sampling requirement per our sludge disposal permit (WQ0001956) and EPA 503 regs. Grant Treatment Train GR — Grant Influent (sampled post preliminary processes, prior to residual side streams and primary process). GE — Grant Effluent (sampled at end of chlorine contact basin) GAB — Grant Aeration Basin (sampled prior to influent of secondary clarification, due to accessibility) GS - Grant Sludge to Disposal (digester sludge to disposal, sludge taken at end of belt press) Town Treatment Train TR — Town Influent (sampled post preliminary processes, prior to residual side streams) TE — Town Effluent (sampled at end of chlorine contact basin) TAB 1 — Town Aeration Basin # 1 (sampled at effluent end of aeration basin) TAB2 — Town Aeration Basin#2 (sampled at effluent end of aeration basin) TS - Town Sludge to Disposal ( digester sludge to disposal, sludge taken at end of belt press) Final Effluent (Yadkin Effluent) YE — Grant and Town Creek Treatment Trains chlorinated combined effluents are dechlorinated then composite sampled prior to the cascade.
