We are working hard to take these projects to completion and appreciate the latitude with the moratorium given the recent weather delays. We feel like we are very close to completion on both projects, especially Little Pine where things look to be completed this week. I will be walking that site Wednesday or Thursday this week looking at the finality of the work. Glade is probably a week to ten days out from completion. Rest assured both projects will be completed as thoroughly and efficiently as possible, while maintaining sediment and erosion compliance. I will touch base with you again to confirm when we are done with all the stream work. I spoke with Andrew Bick, and we agreed that the contractors will have until October 30 to complete the projects. Efforts should be made to complete the projects as quickly as possible. Vigilant attention should be paid to sedimentation and erosion control. Andrea will coordinate the request with Kin Hodges, who is the District 7 Fisheries Biologist, as well as the permitting agencies. We will try to get a formal response back as soon as we can but that will come through Andrea. I will also see Andrea tomorrow at a meeting and we may be able to discuss it then as well. We are requesting that the trout moratorium be delayed until October 30 for both Glade Creek 2 and Little Pine 3 restorations. Glade Creek 2 is about 90% complete with in -stream work. I'm sure you're aware of the rains over the past couple weeks. The construction crew has been hustling as best they can and working weekends when weather permits, but when the creek stages up and stays up for extended periods of time, it's impossible to pump around the base flow and complete the in -stream tasks. We're looking at 15+ impact days so far, with another one today due to the rains over the weekend. If the weather had been "normal", the in -stream work would have been done two weeks ago. Little Pine 3 construction is nearly complete, but some in -stream work remains and the site may not be accessible until later this week. So, it's a similar situation here. Do you need a formal letter request to this or will this email suffice? Do you have any questions or concerns? Thanks for your help.
