Ms. Smith,
Thanks for your email and for the initial look at the application.
I have attached the buffer SOA and the site plan to this email. The SOA shows that 487.5 credits are available (greater
than the 375 required). Is that acceptable or would you like the owner to ask the mitigation bank to revise that to 375
credits?
As far as the site plan/survey goes, I had shown the new impervious in zone 1 shaded in the lavender color (125 sq ft -
see screenshot below) and new impervious in zone 2 shaded in orange (75 sq ft). The existing impervious on the survey
has a concrete hatch (labeled as "conc. driveway" and "wood deck w/ conc. patio underneath"). Let me know if that all
makes sense or if I need to revise this further.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
I should be able to get to the application at the beginning of next week. I just took a quick look at the application, and
the Statement of Availability (SOA) of credits from the mitigation bank didn’t upload. Also, I couldn’t make out from
the survey where the new impervious surface for the screened porch is in relation to the existing impervious
surface. Can you highlight the new impervious on the survey? You can email me both documents, and I’ll include them
with the application. Thank you.

Just to let you know, the Buffer Authorization will indicate that 375 credits of mitigation are required, and that’s
because there isn’t a mitigation charge for necessary infrastructure (screened porch) in Zone 2.

Cherri,
My name is Paul Drake and I am an architect working on a small porch addition in Raleigh. (Buffer Authorization ID
20240201 Ver 1) I helped the owner submit a buffer authorization form to your office, and I have spoken with Joe
Myers in your office several times in order to make sure I uploaded the correct documents on the application. The
project has been approved by Raleigh planning, and the buffer authorization is the last approval item before
construction can begin. The owner would like to know what the timeline is for this process to be completed, and if
there is any way to expedite the process, that would be much appreciated.
