Yes, I totally agree with the need to riprap this for stabilization, as we discussed. It’s already covered in your impacts so I
do not need to modify your approvals.
Just be sure to key in the riprap to allow for low flow and you’re good to go.
I’ll keep this email chain for our records but be sure to include it in your as-builds.

Hi Rob,

I left you a voicemail today, but I know you had some other engagements, we have had a question come up regarding
Site 16 on the U-5026/R-5720 (Sunset Ave) project. The contractor encountered some unsuitable material and everyone
is in agreement that the material will be difficult to stabilize, if possible at all. The contractor and their engineer have
asked if they can rip rap the ditch banks? Kyle and I looked at the area today and agree with the ditch coming from the
48” pipe connecting the two jurisdictional areas being riprapped. Please see the emails and permit drawings below and
let us know if you are ok with us moving forward with rip rapping the ditch.

Garry, forward this to Kyle and Rob and see if you can get a quick verbal to stabilize this site with riprap. It appears to
me these impacts have already been accounted for and a permit mod is not needed to add riprap to this section of
channel. However I would limit riprap to the banks only. Thanks Chad..

Hi Chad,
I have dug into this and it is a relocated stream channel. I have dropped in the associated permit and buffer impact
sheets as well as the photos I received earlier today. The channel material they have encountered along the relocated
stream is unsuitable and is unlikely to be able to be stabilized. The contractor has asked to be able to place rip rap along
the channel banks to ensure long term stability at this location. Both stream and wetland impacts were taken at this
location and I included the impact summary table below. Please let me know what else you may need.
