Please see the following response to the NOV provide by Environmental, Inc.,
operator of the facility:
On December 28, 2023 Balsam Center waste water treatment plant received a notice
of violation for an exceedance of the Total Suspended Solids (TSS) limit. This was
due to the blower being tripped out. It was reset on the 27th but the plant did not have
enough run time so that effluent quality would meet requirements. Since the
blower was reset no other effluent issues have occurred. The effluent water has been
in compliance with the permit.
