Dear Dr. McKnelly:
This letter is in reference to a previous telephone
conversation between you and Colonel Robert Sperberg on the above
subject. The District submitted a letter report to our South
Atlantic Division Headquarters on April 28, 1995, recommending
replacement of the existing breakwater.
The recommended replacement involves constructing a floating
dock structure such as the one discussed at our meeting on
September 2, 1994, at the Division of Parks and Recreation's B.
Everett Jordan Headquarters Building. We also recommended cost
sharing by the State based on the method outlined to you in
previous correspondence.
We anticipate a response from our Division office by the end
of June. We will advise you of any changes in the response date
as well as the result of the review once received. If you have
any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at
(910) 251-4671.
Sincerely,
Glenn McIntosh
