Subject: Re: Request for Additional Information (UNCLASSIFIED)
Thanks David. Per our conversation, the engineers determined that they needed some Geotech in order to adequately
size the proposed cofferdams. As soon as we get that information, they'll use it to prepare a detailed drawing and I'll
send it out to everyone. Thanks

> The Corps has received (September 25) and reviewed your recently submitted Pre - Construction Notification (PCN)
application and supporting documents for the Line T -01 Pipeline Replacement project located in Polk, Henderson, and
Buncombe counties North Carolina. After review and evaluation of the submitted documents the Corps is requesting
the following additional information in order for us to consider the application to be complete.
> 1. The PCN indicates trenchless methods are not feasible for the crossing at the Green River and the applicant is
proposing open trench methods at this crossing. Please provide details (narratives, drawings, plans, etc.) for the open
trench methodology at this crossing. These information should at a minimum describe how the work will be perform in
the dry, detail sediment and erosion controls, manage expected normal river flows, restoration of the stream bed and
bank, and activities to be conducted if unexpected high river flows are encountered.
> Recent conversations with you have indicated S &ME is working on the open trench methodology for the Green River
crossing. Once the Corps receives the information listed above we will be able to continue to process your request. If
you have any questions please contact me.
