Subject: 2 Howland Rd Stream Stabilization /Restoration - NCWRC comments
I have reviewed the information sent to me on the P 2 Howland Rd Stream Stabilization/Restoration project,
which aims to stabilize 225 feet of an unnamed tributary to Reed Creek in Buncombe County. The applicant
proposes to remove exotic vegetation, install cross vanes to stabilize the channel and address a head cut, and
plant native vegetation.
The project should not have affected trout and activities did not need to be avoided during the trout spawning
moratorium.
