RE: Stormwater Management Plan — Conditional Approval
Proposed Triad Business Park — Phase II — Old Greensboro Road Extension
Kernersville, North Carolina
Dear Mr. Hall:
Please consider this letter as the conditional approval of the Stormwater Management Plan for the
proposed Triad Business Park — Phase II — Road Extension linear project. The Stormwater /Watershed
design plans and drainage design calculations for this project were submitted to my office and have been
revised and approved according with the Town of Kernersville Watershed/Stormwater regulations. In
order to obtain a final Watershed / Stormwater Permit approval there are additional conditions that must
also be met.
CONDITIONS:
1. Submit a Construction Performance Surety (can be in form of performance bond, standby letter of
credit or cash) to the Town of Kernersville for an amount equal to one hundred and twenty percent
(120 %) of the total construction cost of the storm water control structure. Please submit unit cost
information pertaining to all storm water control structures and /or bids from the contractor hired
to perform the work and any change orders related thereto as a method to determine the basis for
cost of the work for the construction of the BMP. The Engineering Division will review and
approve the total cost estimation for the construction of the BMP.
2. Provide a deed of easement for review and approval by the Engineering Division. Following
approval of submitted document, the deed of easement shall be recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds.

3. Provide an Operation and Maintenance Agreement for the BMP (Wet Detention Basin) for review
and approval by the Engineering Division. The approved Operation and Maintenance Agreement
shall be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds.
4. Provide an Operation and Maintenance Plan for the Wet Detention Pond for review and approval
by the Engineering Division. The approved Operation and Maintenance Plan shall be signed and
notarized by the owner.
5. Pay the corresponding Watershed /Stormwater fees.
