There is at least one other area that likely has sediment in a stream on this project that is currently inaccessible due to the very, very muddy conditions. Vehicles have gotten stuck in mud trying to access the area. The pictures show the slope failure that led to sediment travelling to the toe of the slope and then washing through a pipe and depositing beyond the outlet end of the pipe. I instructed the contractor to remove the sediment using the sediment removal guidelines, up to a designated point which was 1 approximately 100 yds downstream of the outlet pipe. The sediment has already been removed and I will forward you more pictures of the clean-up later this week. If you have any questions please call me at 336 451-6629.
