If no system was ever built, I can simply make the CoC Inactive in BIMS. No need to hound the former owner for a
property he no longer possesses.

Subject: Close Out of Permit NCG551459
Hey Charles,
So got an odd situation with a permit and I was told you may be the best person to reach out to for guidance on it.
Permit NCG551459 in BIMS has an address of 8201 Louisburg Road and an owner listed as Latifee AI-Aawar....
However.... Mr. AI-Aawar no longer owns the home due to the fact that DOT bought the land from him in order to
expand the road/utilities in the area. There is also actually no discharge system built at the site either... the home has a
normal septic system in place. The homeowners hired a consultant who in turn applied for and received a discharge
permit as a potential option given that DOT would be making their normal septic system unusable due to the road
widening. The home owner again opted to just sell the home/land to DOT instead and has since bought and moved to a
move home.
Now where things get a little bit odd is that under wake county real estate data Shady AI-Awar is still listed as the
owner... however... if you go to the "Notes" tabs up top it indicates on 7/26/2023 "Value Removed DOT Owned."
I called wake county and they were not sure why it was listed as such but agreed that DOT owned the property ... and
again the system was never constructed on the site.
So just wanted to get your input on this situation and if there are any steps the permit owner needs to take in order to
close out this permit. Also, if the name on the wake county real estate data will be an issue. Thanks for any help you
can provide.
