Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hrlday): I Design/Future: 1 5100 1 Year: 12016 1 Existing: 1 5100 1 Year: 1 2016 General Project Narrative: The project involves the replacement of Bridge No. 950066 over Beaverdam Creek on SR 1236 (Rosewood Rd) in Wayne County. The proposed 70' long by 33' wide (24" cored (Description of Minimization of Water slab) single -span bridge would replace the existing 57.7' long by 25.5' wide (rein. conc. deck on timber girders) three -span bridge at the existing location. The proposed grade will be Quality Impacts) approximately 1.0' above the existing grade. The project is within the Neuse River Basin and is subject to riparian buffer rules. The proposed bridge will have no direct discharge into Beaverdam Creek (no deck drains). Stormwater runoff from the proposed bridge will flow to traffic bearing 2GIs on each side of the roadway at the north end of the bridge where it will outlet onto a rip -rap pad outside buffer zone 2. All proposed stormwater runoff will be discharged as far away from the stream and at the lowest velocities as practicable. Project minimum measures include: >3:1 fill slopes. >Maximizing shoulder section. >Providing adequate ground cover. >Stabilizing embankments and drainage ditches. >Providing adequate energy dissipation. >Utilizing natural features and drainage pathways - Existing drainage pathways were utilized to the maximum extent practicable.
