Date of Sampling: 1/9/2024 Time: 8:45 AM
Description of Noncompliance: Benchmark Exceedance Copper(Cu)
Benchmark Exceedance Information: Parameter Code—01119, Parameter—Copper,Total Recoverable (as Cu),
Classification—Freshwater, Benchmark Limit—.010 mg/L, Cu Sampling Results- .0156 mg/L
Immediate Corrective Action: Stormwater drains going into Outfall 001 inspected. Found to be clear of debris.
Consulted with onsite engineering to identify potential sources relating to processes. Non identified. Landscaper
fertilized lawn prior to rain event. Upon further investigation,the source of the copper could had come from the
fertilizer. Copper is one of the micro nutrients. Due to the volume of rain,water going to the storm drain leading to
Outfall 001 could have possibly contained enough copper to result in a benchmark exceedance.
Long Term Corrective Actions:
Consult with Landscaper for amount of fertilizer used and times before fertilizing lawn and investigate other product use
for lawn care.
