I.Public Notice; Water Quality Certification for Lake Lure Subaqueous Sanitary Sewer Replacement; 20231656 Ver
1; Rutherford County
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on January 18, 2024 Town of Lake Lure (2948 Memorial Hwy , Lake Lure, NC
28746) applied to the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) for a 401 Individual Water Quality Certification,
pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500. The activity for which this
certification is sought regards Sewer/Wastewater. The DWR’s proposed date of final action on the application is
February 22, 2024.
Written comments on the application described above must be received by DWR no later than 5 p.m. on
February 22, 2024. Written comments may be submitted online by filling out the Public Notice Comment Form
here: <https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/401_Public_Notice_Comments>. Written comments may also be
mailed to: 401 Permitting, 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC, 27699-1617.
The application is available online. Information for accessing the application/ project information online may
