DWQ Project # 2007-1787
Wake County
On October 22, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated October 22,
2007, with additional information received on October 23, 2007, to impact 2,901 square feet (ftZ) of Zone
1 of the protected riparian buffers and 3,407 square feet (ftZ) of Zone 2 of the protected riparian buffers to
construct the proposed bridge within the proposed subdivision.. The DWQ has determined that your
application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will
require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetland, streams
and/or buffers on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested
below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 1 SA NCAC 2H .0506 and
2B .0233(8) and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information.
Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Diffuse flow is a requirement within the Neuse River Basin. Please provide diffuse flow provisions
at the outlets of your dry basins on your revised plan sheets.
2. Since this submittal was made after October 1, 2007, the use of the new BMP Supplement Form
is required.. Please provide a separate BMP Supplement Form for each proposed level spreader
(or other diffuse flow device). The worksheet must be submitted (Design Summary and Required
Items Checklist) along with all of the required items. The new BMP Supplement Forms are
available at: http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/su/bmp forms.htm.
3. Please provide the new form for Inspection and Maintenance of BMPs. This is also available at
the above web site.
Please respond within three weeks of the date of this letter by sending this information to me in writing
and Lauren Witherspoon of the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office. If we do not hear from you within three
weeks, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as
withdrawn.
