I apologize for the delayed response. 1. Attached you will find (3) pictures showing the existing buffer with the proposed wall location noted. 2. The HOA requires all slopes on the lot to be no steeper than 3:1. Based on the finish floor elevation of the newly built home and the close proximity of the house to the buffer obtaining a 3:1 slope is not possible. We have petitioned the HOA for a variance however they requested we pursue this permit and install a wall to achieve the 3:1 slope. Please let me know if you need any additional information relating to this project. Mr. Burkhard & Mrs. Brown — attached you will the following documents: 1. Draft site plan showing a proposed retaining wall & proposed fill area below the retaining wall 2. Profile views of the proposed wall & fill areas We are proposing the fill areas below the wall in order to minimize the amount of wall required. The fill areas below the wall will be stabilized immediately following the wall install. We could possibly plant some native species below the wall to better stabilize the fill area if that seems reasonable. If/when the impacts are approved, we will engage a structural engineer to design the wall and structural pad to support the wall to ensure longevity. We would also be engage a soil tech to inspect & certify all fill below & behind the proposed wall. Please review these documents and let me know what questions/comments you may have.
