Post Office Box 296 Webster, NC 28778-0296 Subject Property: Saddle Nooke Developement _ .., Cope Creek, Jackson County REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION ~~.~~ Dear Mr. Clapsdale: On December 4, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application to impact an 0.04 acres of wetlands for the development of the Saddle Nooke Office Park developement. The DWQ has determined that that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. l"he DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application, as proposed, to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, vre will have to move toward denial of your application, as submitted, as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Additional Information Requested: 1. Project Information Under Section III of your application you did not provide the requested information in the Item Instructions, or provided information which lacks detail /resolution / legibility as to make the information reviewable. You must provide the following: • A detailed site plan showing property boundaries and development plans in relation to surrounding properties. The specific footprints of all buildings, impervious surfaces, or other facilities must be included. • Correct buffers must be included on any submitted site plans. The attached plans indicate a 25' trout buffer. • Additionally, supplied recorded deed restrictions shall be submitted referencing the buffers. Impact Justification (Avoidance and Minimization) Your submitted avoidance and minimization discussion provides the statement that the wetland must be filled in order to build the development, but have not shown the development plan with building locations which would be needed to make this assessment. Additionally, if the wetland were included in the design, it may be possible to maintain the wetland as an amenity within the development without the requested impacts. 3. stormwater Application Item XI does not provide a discussion as to how stormwater from this project will be managed for the life of the project (including home construction, stormwater collected from homes, roadways, driveways, etc...).
