Inspection Summary:
This facility was inspected on January 11, 2024. The inspection was generated due to a complaint regarding
stormwater discharge from the facility. An inspection of both the interior and the perimeter was performed. The facility
is utilizing procedures to collect industrial fluids generated during industrial processes on site. The owner indicated
that the collection containers are shipped off site for disposal, treatment, and/or recycling of these fluids once they
are full. Stormwater Collection Ponds were observed behind the facility's operations area on site for secondary
containment. These ponds are periodically pumped out with any water/fluids shipped off site for disposal, treatment,
and/or recycling. The facility also had vegetatively stabilized berms around the operations area within the perimeter
fence. The facility had a SWPPP prepared and available for review on site. The owner stated he is working with an
environmental consulting firm. The owner has been advised to apply for NPDES Industrial Stormwater coverage
under a General Industrial Stormwater Permit by submitting a Notice of Intent(NOI). No untreated stormwater
discharge from the facility was observed during the inspection. The owner stated he intends to immediately apply for
permit coverage and comply with all associated rules and regulations.
