Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application: The site of the primary project is over the water as it is a dock with boat slip however, the gangway(bridge) which allows people to access the dock will REST on the shore at the 10' mark from the shoreline. The land is on an extreme angle from the home to the shore. The gangway will be 50' x 52" from the dock to land with only 10' x 52" resting on the land itself. The land will not be disturbed as again, the rollers at the end of the gangway are the only thing touching the land. There will not be an distrurbance done to the land. The Catawba River runs along the property line for 113 linear feet but is not through the property 3b. Proposed Activity (� Provide a detailed description of the proposed activity including its purpose and include the type of equipment to be used: We will be building a dock on the water and fron the water. We will not be using any equipment on the land as our barge holds our crane for setting down materials onto the water. The gangway(bridge) from the dock to shore will be placed using our crane from the barge to REST on the land at 10' from the shoreline. Applied for Iredell County Pier permit. Due to the fact that this property on lake norman also is on the Catawba river, a floodplain permit was also applied for. The floodplain permit is approved pending the State Water approval. The issue is that the gangway from the dock to the shore will rest on the land at the 10' mark from shoreline. The resting of the gangway will be the rollers on the end of the gangway. 4 small rollers measuring 4 square inches each for a total of 16 square inches (0.11 sq feet) resting on the land at the 10' mark above shoreline.
