Here is the information regarding the sediment loss on U-2579AB. The project personnel will be sending you clean up
pictures and notification of completion directly. I'm going to be out for a few days starting tomorrow. We'll be happy to
review this or any other projects with you after the first of the year.
Date of loss: 12/17/2023
Location: Site 1 (Sta-Y4RPB-Rt 20+00)
Rain event: 1.84 "
Estimated Loss: 10 buckets.
Did the Loss Occur in the Sream/Wetland: Yes
Length Of Loss: 45'
Cause: SDO overwhelmed, Basin overtopped
Corrective Action: stabilize the area with fabric.
Timeline for Repair: 1 day, almost complete

Length Of Loss: 40'
Cause: Fabric undermined and washed-out weir of basin
Corrective Action: Repair basin, remove sediment at end of pipe, place inlet ring around pipe.
Timeline For Repair: 1 Day

The requested information will be provided once they have finished the report. The purpose of the email was to give
you a heads up. This is the method that was preferred by Dave. If you would rather wait until we have all of the
requested information, we can do so in the future.
The borrow site on the U-2579AA project is separate from the U-2579AB project. We have 2 contracts, one for AA and
one for AB. The borrow site on the AA project is active and will be for several months.

Amy,
Thanks for the notice, I really appreciate your communication. Is the release reported today from another rain event, or
associated with the previous loss/event?
When reporting releases on -site, I would appreciate if you could include this information:
1. Estimated amount of sediment loss at each location.
2. Did the sediment loss occur within the stream/wetland, and if so what is the impacted length/area?
3. Anticipated steps for repair.
4. Timeline for repair.
I would also appreciate a follow-up email once repairs are complete with additional photo documentation.
For this particular project, how long is work anticipated in the borrow pit area before stabilization can begin?

In the New Year, sometime in early January, I'II schedule a site visit with you to assess project concerns.
