(.022 acres) to allow the neighborhood residents access to the southern portion of the community

The proposed trail is located at the only narrow section of the wetland that would allow access to Becky's Creek from South Brig Drive. The area of the
property fronting the end of South Brig in between lots 123 & 131 is narrow and is largely wetlands. The trail entrance will be constructed by the 131
lot line around the fronting wetlands so that the impact minimized.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
These temporary impacts will be minimized during construction by the use of silt fence on both sides of trail during installation of the culvert. A
bottomless culvert will be used, which will conserve the existing stream bed, minimizing disturbance and avoiding impact to the wetland.

From Wilmington take US -17 North toward Jacksonville. Turn right onto NC Highway 210 East. Take a right onto Saltwater Landing
Drive. Take a right onto South Brig Drive. Property is located at the end of South Brig Drive.

A 960 square foot area (0.022 acres) is proposed to be disturbed for a hiking trail in order for the residents to have access to the southern
portion of the common area property and also have access to the day dock.
19. Project Purpose (Describe the reason or purpose of the project, see instructions)
Saltwater Landing LLC is proposing to construct a hiking trail on the +/- 2.8 acre lot, which will inevitably be conveyed to the Saltwater
Landing Homeowners Association. This trail, which will be made of wood chips, will give the residents access to the day dock on Becky's
Creek.
Most of the surrounding area's lots are developed. However, to the East of the subject lot is a large wooded area.

The proposed trail is located at the only narrow section of the wetland that would allow access to Becky's Creek from South Brig Drive.
The area of the property fronting the end of South Brig in between lots 123 & 131 is narrow and is largely wetlands. The trail entrance will
be constructed by the 131 lot line around the fronting wetlands so that the impact minimized. A bottomless culvert will be used, which will
conserve the existing stream bed, minmizing disturbance and avoiding impact to the wetland.
