Impact Justification and Mitigation 1. Avoidance and Minimization 1 a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project. The proposed trail is located at the only narrow section of the wetland that would allow access to Becky's Creek from South Brig Drive. The area of the property fronting the end of South Brig in between lots 123 & 131 is narrow and is largely wetlands. The trail entrance will be constructed by the 131 lot line around the fronting wetlands so that the impact minimized. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. These temporary impacts will be minimized during construction by the use of silt fence on both sides of trail during installation of the culvert. A bottomless culvert will be used, which will conserve the existing stream bed, minimizing disturbance and avoiding impact to the wetland. 2.
