4a. Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application:
Bridge 121.95 Carolina Coastal Railway runs primarily along Forest land: other mixed deciduous -coniferous forest land. The ends of the bridge are surrounded by, unmanaged herbaceous
Cover, and broad -leaf deciduous forest land. Route 301 bypass is to the West of the project.

Perform necessary repairs to maintain the bridge in operable condition without load restrictions.
4i. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used: *
The project scope will entail minor bridge rehabilitation.
The bridge consists of concrete piers and steel girders. One of the concrete bridge seats where the girder sits needs repair. The bridge girders shall be temporarily supported while
deteriorated concrete is chipped away and surface cleaned. A new non -shrink epoxy grout pad will be poured under the existing girder bearing to restore the bridge seat surface.
A hi -rail boom truck will be used to install/deliver material from the deck of the bridge. Site access will be from the railroad R.O.W. Work will take place on top of the pier above water. No
direct or indirect impacts are anticipated. No earth disturbance activities will take place.
