The USEPA has reviewed the above-referenced project. I used USEPA's NEPAssist data to examine whether or
not there are any hazardous waste, TRI, TSCA, Superfund, etc. types of sites in the project area. There appear
to be stream and wetland features that may be impacted in terms of 404/401 issues and in managing
stormwater runoff. In addition, the 2010 demographics data indicates that there is a high percentage of
limited English speakers, minorities, and people living below the poverty line in the immediate vicinity of the
project. Please be mindful of these issues when developing a range of alternatives and in your public
involvement with the community.
I look forward to attending the scoping meeting next week on April 16th.
