Inspection Summary:
A Compliance Evaluation Inspection was conducted at the Ocean Bay Villas & Ocean Glen Condos WWTP by Tyler Benson
(DWR). Mr. Dan Fortin (ORC) and staff of Fortin Contract Services were present during the inspection. Due to record files not
present at the time of the on -site inspection, these documents were reviewed on July 21, 2022.
Upon entering the WWTP, it appears that the access steps are damaged and potentially pose a safety -concern for
operators. Infrastructure should be evaluated for structural integrity to provide safe -working conditions.
The permanent generator for the facility was noted on the previous inspection report to be previously damaged beyond repair
per Powerhouse Generator Services. The facility has since replaced this damaged generator with one that is operational.
In summary, the following items to be addressed in the near -future:
- The dosing tank only has one of 2 pumps operational
- Solids have accumulated at the bottom of the chlorine contact chamber
- The Ocean Side Pump Station's control panel is having electrical issues per ORC
- Our system does not indicate a received renewal application for the permit. This permit expires August 31, 2022.Per
condition 1.1, a renewal application is to be submitted prior to 6-months of the expiration date. Please confirm this renewal
application has been submitted.
