SUBJECT: Building Concept Meeting - State Administration Facilities,
B. Everett Jordan Dam and Lake

4. Two alternate building concepts (Plans A and B with accompanying
elevations) and a site plan were presented to the State. The site plan
provided a preliminary layout of the access road, parking, and the building
location based on an earlier site inspection meeting between the State and
Corps. It was approved without comment. Concept Plan B and alternate
elevations 1 were selected for the building with the following comments:

a. The computer room should be changed to a dark room with a built-in
counter, sink, and cabinet. The door should be relocated to the opposite
wall.

b. The conference room should be 4 to 5 feet longer. Storage for
conference room should have one door.

c. Eliminate one lavatory and water closet/urinal in the staff rest
rooms.

d. Add door to exhibit room entrance.

e. Provide one or two dressing compartments for ladies' locker room.

f. Provide electric lock at door separating lobby from hall.

g. Eliminate wall between mudroom and vestibule.

h. Increase light intensity in interior offices.

i. Stub out conduit for radio equipment.

j. Provide track lighting or special attention for lighting in the
exhibit area.

k. Consider skylights at each end of hallway. None in work areas.

l. Use metal doors at nonprotected areas; solid core wood for interior
doors.

m. Windows should be provided as shown on the building elevations,
Concept B, Alternate 1. See enclosures for concepts.

5. Mr. Peloquin advised us that additional information concerning built-in
items would be furnished at a later date.
