Ms. Manuel:

The Town of Clayton offers the following information regarding the NOV dated December 28, 2023. When looking over the plant data it was noted the influent flows into the SWF were more
variable during the middle and end of the month due to an unsettled weather pattern. Further investigation found that several of the variable speed drives on the aerators had defaulted
to minimum speeds during the period. Staff reestablished the aerators as necessary and checked the operation of the dissolved oxygen sensor equipment. It was determined the LED readouts
were difficult to read, so we purchased replacement Hach sensors to replace the obsolete Royce units.
The Town has returned to compliance with the permit conditions, and has implemented an additional in-process control sampling regime specifically for ammonia-n.
