Subject: [EXTERNAL] Onslow 26 handclearing needed at southern interior bent area
Hey Mason, Brad, and Stephen,
NCDOT needs approximately 400 square feet of handclearing at the east side of the southern interior bent at
the Onslow 26 bridge replacement project. This is because vegetation is in direct conflict with the proposed
bridge and is in very near proximity to the proposed bridge. We propose handclearing of this vegetation to
extend to approximately 10 feet to the east of the eastern side of the bridge. The vegetation in this area is
shrubby in nature as there are no what I would call mature trees in this area. Please see the attached package
and picture (see vegetation around end of bent in far side of photo) in this regard. Please let me know
whether you approve of this proposal. Please let me know whether you need additional information to make
your decision.
