I am pleased to say that Pace MHP has completed the last portion of the SOC. Jones
Estates put forth a great effort in meeting the States' requirements outlined in the Special Order
by Consent. Jones Estates installed a Flow splitter box, all permitted equipment for Train 1 and
Train 2, and obtain Field Certification for Pace WWTP. We had some issues with materials,
weather and unfortunately our former operator, but we were able to achieve our goal. We have
made great strides in bringing Pace MHP back into Environmental compliance and I know
NCDEQ would agree. The current operator, Andy Mathews, brings vast knowledge to small
package plants and has done wonders since being on board. We at Jones Estates feel this plant is
the best it has ever been since taking Jones Estates took ownership and NCDEQ should have no
issues with Pace MHP going forward.
We would request a 60-day extension to achieve NDPES permit limits as we have had some
disruptions in the plant these past few weeks. I firmly believe by March 1, 2024, Pace WWTP
will achieve all permit limits and be in good compliance with NCDEQ.
