Nathaniel,
Majestic Oaks Permit WQ0030088 needs to be rescinded. We have been working with Helen this
past year to decommission the wastewater plant and disposal. The utility was transferred by NCUC
to Pluris on September 15, 2023. The wastewater plant has been cut up and removed, disposal
pond liners removed, plant site graded, and ground water monitoring wells filled and capped. Helen
should be able to provide additional specifics.
We do not feel we owe the attached annual permit fee. Please let me know if there is anything else
you need from us to move this process forward.
Thank you,
Sean McMillan

Hello Sean,
The annual permit fee automatically gets mailed out if the permit is still active, regardless of the
operating status. The Majestic Oaks Permit, WQ0030088, has not been rescinded yet. I discussed the
procedure to rescind the permit with Chip. An email request to Nathaniel Thornburg,
Nathaniel.thornburgna deq.nc.gov requesting to rescind the permit will be needed. Once received,
he will check with the Wilmington Regional Office to be sure that the facility has been properly
closed out, which Chip has kept me informed of all the work done and sent pictures. Once I inform
him that it's closed, he will rescind the permit. I would also ask him, in the email, about the need to
pay the annual fee.

Helen,
Can you provide us your assistance with the attached Majestic Oaks permit renewal. We do not feel
we owe the annual permit fee since the system was officially transferred to Pluris on September
15th, wastewater facility has been demolished, site graded, and disposal ponds excavated. Please let
me know how to proceed.
Thank you,
