Subject: Technical Correction of NPDES Permit
Permit NC0021253
Havelock WWTP
Craven County
Class IV
Dear Mr. Bottorff:
Division personnel have reviewed your permit and discovered that the 2.25 MGD limitation
page pH limit is incorrect. With the relocation of the NPDES outfall to the Neuse River, a pH limit of
not greater than 8.5 S.U. nor less than 6.8 S.U. to comply with the stream classification of SB, NSW is
required. The subsequent expansion pages in your NPDES permit correctly state the required pH limit.
Enclosed is a technical corrected copy of the 2.25 MGD limitation page for NPDES Permit
NC0021253. Please replace this limitation page in your current NPDES permit with the corrected
limitation page and discard the removed page. This technical correction does not affect any other
terms, conditions, or compliance actions covered by the current NPDES permit.
If you have any questions concerning this permit technical correction, please contact Ron Berry
by phone (919) 807-6396 or by email ron.berry@ncdenr.gov.
Sincerely,
rP' • S. Jay Zimmerman, P.G.
