Hi Sue,
Happy New Year. Please find responses to the additional information below in red.
1. Please confirm whether riprap aprons will be necessary for velocity control at the outlet of any of the proposed
culverts. It is the Division's experience that velocity control is typically required by the erosion control
program. If proposed, please update the impact table and drawings accordingly.
Energy dissipating outlet protection has been added to the impacts table and drawings. Impacts have been
revised to accommodate this addition.
2. Please provide profile drawings indicated that the culverts will maintain aquatic passage. Please ensure that
profile drawings include riprap aprons where proposed.
Please find profile drawings for impact areas attached. Culverts will be countersunk a minimum of 6" to allow for
aquatic life movement.
3. Please provide plan sheets that clearly indicate that the culverts will be installed "in the dry
(dewatering)". Please update the impact tables to account for temporary impacts accordingly.
Please find a typical detail for stream pump around included on Sheet C1.6 of the attached Impacts Plan and
Sections. There are no temporary impacts proposed.
4. Please provide DWR stream forms for all impact areas. As DWR regulations differentiate between intermittent
and perennial streams it is essential that we have sufficient documentation to support the statements within the
application.
Please find stream forms for each impact area attached.
5. Please provide statement of availability and/or mitigation acceptance letters for the permanent stream and
wetland impacts.
A mitigation acceptance letter for the proposed impacts is attached.
Please let me know if you have any questions, need additional information, or have any issues with downloading the
attachments.
Thanks!
