Hi Katherine, Please find the attached revised plans for contract 2. Additionally, please see below (client response in red): The 50-foot LOD is necessary because the outfall depth of the sewer is deep (24"). Thus, they need bigger equipment with larger reaches and larger tracks, including a heavy track hoe excavator, room to operate with trench box or other shoring materials, and the necessity to excavate and store native soils adjacent to the trenched areas, to reduce impact to wetlands and keep native soil profile. Additionally, if groundwater is high, they need room for pumps and hoses to pump out groundwater (dewatering equipment). Diameter Total (LF) 24 11,200 18 3,600 14,800 Please find responses to your requests below: Could you provide revisions or more information for the following: The impacts for W1 on the PCN do not match the impacts listed on the attached set of plans. - I've looked at this and found the following: a. The temporary and permanent impact totals for W1 on the cover page are incorrect. Agree and updating Table b. The temporary impact total on page 16 for W1 is also incorrect. Updated. For 1321.82 SF Temp impact on sheet 13, the AC conversion is incorrect (SF call out correct). Attached version address c. The detail on page 13 for W1 impacts shows that some of the impacts listed are for contract 3. It looks like they added the contract 3 temporary and permanent impacts on page 13 into the total for contract 2, except instead of adding 0.146 acres of temporary impact from contract 3, they added 0.0146. Updated. For 1321.82 SF Temp impact on sheet 13, the AC conversion is incorrect (SF call out correct). Attached version address d. So, according the correct total impacts for W1 in Contract 2 are as follows: i. Temporary - 0.1261 acres ii. Permanent - 0.0353 acres 2. Similarly, the totals for wetland temporary and permanent impacts on the PCN don't match the plan set. -I've looked at this and found the following: a. With this adjustment the correct total wetland impacts for Contract 2 are very close to the previously listed totals on the PCN, as follows: b. Temporary - 2.7668 acres c. Permanent — 0.7119 acres d. Total Wetland Impact — 3.4787 acres e. Please let me know if this seems right to you. Not updating as numbers work once the AC conversion item was addressed. f. S9 has zero impacts — should it be removed? It looks like the stream origin point is at the edge of the LOD. Do you know when or who established that point? Will white out callouts to S9. 3. Please update the total linear feet of 24" and 18" pipe that will be installed with Contract 2. The narrative lists the total for the whole project, which is fine but my authorization needs to include the pipe installation authorized for only Contract 2. Summary breakdown table provided in e-mail above. 4. Also, to verify consistency with the regional conditions, please let me know the width of the LOD. Updated drawings to show 50' LOD. Provided explanation for exceeding 40' wide on the phone call (Equipment to install 24", depth of sewer and safe trench practice, storage of excavated native soil, and trench dewatering equipment. 5. Please revise the plans to reflect the accurate impacts, please add dimensions to the LOD area (width), and date the plans to reflect the revision. I was looking through the materials to see if I could find the width of the limit of disturbance to be sure it meets NWP Regional Condition 10 (b). I see the width of the maintained easement is 10'. Is the width of the LOD listed on the plans anywhere? For reference: Regional Condition 10. b. Please show on a separate figure any parts of the project that were completed and the impacts associated. Awaiting additional figures from the design engineer. Will send ASAP. 2. The narrative indicates there was some or all mitigation paid previously. Please send the executed Mitigation Transfer Form showing what was purchased. If there were partial mitigation purchases please indicate which impacts these were for. See the signed MTF and DMS receipt of payment attached. 3. Stream impacts in the ePCN do not match the impacts stated in the letter request dated November 3, 2023. Also, stream impacts should also be shown in acres as well as LF please. Impact numbers on the Cover Letter have been updated to reflect the ePCN and the Impact Maps. See attached. 4. It is not clear if further mitigation is needed. The letter mentions splitting credits as needed based on availability and I do not have an executed MTF. If more mitigation is required please obtain an updated acceptance letter from the appropriate Bank or DMS. See the signed MTF and DMS receipt of payment attached. 5. Please submit a zoomed in project figure that shows only the area of Contract 2 with the impacts. Awaiting additional figure from the design engineer. Will send ASAP. 6. There are several places the alignment could be straightened or slightly shifted to avoid impacts. Please provide information as to why the alignment can't be tweaked for further minimization. I understand that a minimum grade is needed, but please take a look at these and let me know if potential adjustments can be made. Awaiting additional info from the design engineer. Will send ASAP. a. Sheet 12 — Wetland WB: appears that straightening the alignment or angling differently could avoid the tips of the wetland b. Sheet 9—Wetland W18 c. Sheet 10—Wetlands W26-29 Sheet 11- Wetland WC: Shifting the alignment at the western manhole could avoid the wetland, also there are temporary impacts wider than 10' in a small area.
