Good morning, Brittany, We had discussed that one of our clients—COC: NCG030727 -added a retention pond onsite which in turn changed the drainage areas. Initially the site had SDOs 001, 002 and 003. However, they now have SDOs 001, 002 and 004. Can you assist with updating Kelly Pipe's SDOs in the NCDEQ system?See table below for details: Kelly Pipe Co., LLC Drainage Estimated Outfall Area SDO Coordinates Impervious (deg, min, sec) (Acres) SDO 001 1.02 100% N 35' 06' 50.3"; W 80' 54' 52.6" SDO 002 0.35 100% N 35' 06' 50.9"; W 80' 54' 52.0" SDO 003 is obsolete due to new BMP-retention SDO 003 basin with sand filter. SDO 003's drainage area is now captured by the retention basin, i.e., SDO 004. SDO 004 1.20 64% N 35' 06' 53.0"; W80' 54' 51.0" Also, I have attached this site's COC. Can you assist with correcting the 4 typos circled in red?We are currently updating their SWPPP to include the new BMP and will be including the COC in one of the Appendices. If you need any additional information, please let me know. Hello Brittany, 2 I was wondering if you've had a chance to look into this matter. It might be more effective to have a discussion via a Teams call. Could you please inform me of your availability, and I can send you an invitation? It's crucial that we address this issue promptly to ensure our client stays in compliance with the permit. Furthermore, in the case of outfalls 002 and 003 (which are now considered obsolete since the pond will be managing the runoff from their drainage areas), what steps should be taken in eDMR to ensure that no NOVs (Notices of Violation) are generated? If the pond ever discharges stormwater, then that would be considered it's own outfall. But Bethany is correct, we would not be able to remove the extra outfalls in our system due to having monitoring data. If the pond does not discharge stormwater, then I would keep monitoring at outfall 1 and do not report for the other outfalls until the renewal of the General Permit. Brittany, please see the questions below. If the permittee is reporting through eDMR already, the outfalls will need to stay to house the historical data reported, but they won't need to report data for those the remainder of the term (and they can disregard any warnings the system may give them about that). The outfalls that have become "internal" can then be removed at the next permit cycle. Bethany good morning, I hope you are doing well! I have a few questions I am hoping you can assist with. We are currently working with an industrial client located in Mecklenburg County. They have recently added a detention pond/sand filter to their site in order to comply with local regulations.Their current Certificate of Coverage (COC) encompasses the original three outfalls. However, this newly constructed pond now captures a portion of SDO 001 and the entirety of SDOs 002 and 003. Our plan is to update their Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)to incorporate this new Best Management Practice (BMP), and we will also be reevaluating the drainage areas for the outfalls. 4 Our main questions are as follows: 1. Will this necessitate the submission of a new Notice of Intent(NOI)to update the outfalls? 2. Should we consider voiding or canceling SDOs 002 and 003, given that the new pond now manages the runoff from their respective drainage areas?Would it be appropriate to designate the pond's outfall as "SDO 004"? I appreciate any information you can provide on this matter.
