The land has not been improved other than a very old barn that is partially collapsed. A single family home and accessory building will be constructed on the parcel. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): The land has been vacant and undeveloped for its recorded history. The existing shoreline is highly eroded with an undercut of up to 2 feet in some areas. There are numerous fallen and partially fallen trees due to erosion that pose a safety hazard. A single family home and accessory building will be constructed on the property in the near future. The owner desires to stabilize the shoreline to prevent further erosion and mitigate the safety issues posed by fallen and partially fallen trees that were undercut by erosion. The proposed work is to back -cut the shoreline sufficient to achieve an approximate 45 degree slope accross its length, the installation of filter fabric and the instalation of class A and B rip -rap, along with larger boulders to stabilize the shoreline. This work is necessary to prevent further erosion of the shoreline, and to mitigate the existing unsafe condition of unstable trees due to significant erosion. The approximate area of below 760 disturbance is 235ft x 8ft = 1,880 sq ft The approximate area of above 760 disturbance is 235ft x 5ft (average) = 1,175 sq ft The approximate area of work area and access corridor temporary disturbance is 235ft x 1 Oft + 1 Oft x 30 ft = 2,650 sq ft 8.
