Thank you for meeting with me this morning. I appreciate your insight and advice on approaches to storm water
monitoring. Based on our discussions, please rescind the representative outfall status request that Electric Glass Fiber
America, LLC (EGFA) submitted on November 14, 2023 for CoC NCG070015.
EGFA will clarify which outfalls on our campus have industrial activity and from this list,will submit a follow-up request
for representative outfall status.

Again, sorry for the confusion. We have an inspector assigned to each county and they frequently do these inspections,
but I happened to be in the area on Thursday. I'll plan on seeing you around 9 AM, or as soon as possible after that

A site map was sent to the regional office with the request along with a cover letter that addressed each question. Mr.
Ian Calloway confirmed that he has the paper copy. I have attached a pdf of the map and the cover letter. Let me know
if I need to send two paper copies of the map.
Drainage areas are summarized on the map. There are no industrial activities in Catchments IV,V,VI, and IX and only
empty trailer parking and pallet storage, propane storage, empty trailer parking and one dumpster for warehouse waste
in Catchment XIII. Outfall VIII is selected as being representative of Catchments IV,V,VI, VIII, and IX because it is the
only catchment where there is any activity approximating industrial activity. The other catchments in this group have
only employee parking or are natural (wooded) or landscaped (grassed) areas.
There has been no previous analytical monitoring of outfalls from any of these catchments.
Please advise if you need anything else.

NC DEQ received a Representative Outfall Status Request for the Electric Glass Fiber America Facility in Shelby,
NC. However,the request was incomplete. The only information received was the completed form. Please see the
checklist from Page 2 of the form, below. At the minimum,you will need to provide the highlighted information. Until
that information is received, we cannot act further on the request. Additionally, if analytical monitoring data is not
