Chatham County Cape Fear River Basin Dear Mr. McCorquodale:
As the Division of Water Resources (DWR) begins review of your August 21, 2023 speculative
limits request based upon increased flow from 6 MGD to 9 MGD, the Division has the following additional information to request.
1. Basis of 9 MGD Request. Projected expansions typically are based on 20-year population
increases. Please provide details as to the basis for the 9 MGD request. I have attached
Engineering Alternatives Analysis (EAA) Guidance Document. Steps I and 2 in the guidance
document cover information that you will need to determine if the discharge is allowed and
provide reasonable projections for population & flow.
2. Low flow data. Please request low flow data (7Q10, 7Q10 winter, 30Q2, Average Annual
Flow) for the Loves Creek and Rocky River locations. Low flow data requests, are submitted
