This letter is in response to the NOV & Intent for Civil Penalty issues on September 14, 2023, �ioicc
exceeding the following parameters for July 2023:

The reason we exceedcd the fecal for the weeks above is because we were having issues with our Chlorine feed
system. We called in Eric Howe with Piedmont Chlorinators to help us determine what was going on. After a complete
overall of our feed system, we were able to determine that we didn't have much vacuum due to a collapse or damaged
line in the system leaving the chemical building on our existing line. We laid a temporary line as we replaced about
400 ft of line and placed it back online. We have since added a secondary feed line to feed at a different location if
this happens again in the future.
