The contractor I plan to have do this said roughly 2' below the waterline and 3-5' above the waterline. Do you want me to update my drawing to show this? Thanks! I appreciate the drawings your provided. Would you be able to tell me the approximate depth of the riprap? I need to know how many feet above and below the normal waterline the riprap will be placed. For example, some people have 4 feet below the water level and 2 feet above. After talking to a contractor about shoreline, I decided not to do any sea walls (Only Rip Rap). Also, I included adding Rip Rap to the surface around my dock to prevent any sediment inclusion. With the water levels so low right now, I would love to get this done as soon as I can. Please let me know if you have any questions. Rachel, I understand dredging is a different topic and may not be a good thing to include part of this permit. Can you help me understand what I need to do to apply for a Dredging permit? I understand this will be subject to Duke Energy and the Lake Authority approval. The summary of your plans includes a Sea Wall, Riprap installation and Dredging. Designs and dimensions of these plans were not provided in your application. Please provide our office with detailed plans that show the dimensions, size (above and below normal water level) and location of the seawall and riprap. With this request for additional information, this project will be placed on hold. Once I receive all of the requested information, I will resume my review of this project. As far as the dredging, I will have to defer to the USACE. Rachel — Can you provide any insight as to if Mr. Hodges dredging is an activity that may be authorized? If you are able to permit this activity, then we should be able to make this fit as well. This activity just raised a question in our office, and we wanted to get your input with this matter? I will be taking my first look at this project either today or tomorrow and will be sure to reach out with any questions. If I don't have any questions, I'll be able to issue the certification within the next few days. If I do have questions, is the phone number you have listed a good point of contact for you? Sometimes communicating over the phone is easier if they are simple clarification questions. Mr. Myers, I just wanted to follow up on my project. I appreciate your help. This is the first time that I submitted an application like this and I was unsure if I provided enough information. Your project should not take that long, but it is hard for me to give an exact estimate as there are 7 more projects on my list to review that were received prior to yours. Barring any setbacks or questions regarding your application, I have an internal 60-day deadline which ends around 11/20/23. If I had to put an estimate on the application review, I would assume it will be sometime early November when I begin review. We do not have to meet onsite, any questions I may have I can ask via email or contact you over the phone. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Mr. Myers, I just wanted to ask how long this typically takes to go through review? Do we meet onsite at some point? This is my first time going through this process. I mainly wanted to get a time frame to start getting some pricing from contractors on installing the Rip Rap. Thanks!
