You do not need an Individual 401 Water Quality Certification from our office. The activities listed for riparian buffer impacts are deemed allowable, therefore, you do not need authorization for those impacts either. If your impact plans are to change, please notify our office immediately. Please see the link below for the General Certification. There has been an error with the regional office's receipt of this project. It is currently not showing up in our project list. Our central office staff are working on getting that resolved. Logan, could you please reupload the photos you've provided Matt, as well as sending a new copy of your impact maps to us. The sketch provided is showing up pixelated on our end, and I did not receive the attachments of the photos you provided to the USACE. Could you also provide us with an updated impact map for our records, as it sounds like you will now have stream impacts that are 20 feet in width. Mr Martin, Please see the attached image. I used the preliminary plat for the sketch, since it shows the riparian buffer/creek. The proposed crossing location and fill limit are noted in red. Please let me know if this does not suffice, and I can do it differently. Can you please provide a plan view sketch, showing where on the property the proposed crossing would be. On this drawing, please note the width of the fill limit at the crossing. You were correct, and the water at the site is nowhere near as large as I originally estimated. While the creek bed is larger, the width of this specific section of water is only 2 feet (as shown in pic with measurement). I consulted with a general contractor and he suggested utilizing a 24in culvert. We will also utilize another 24 in culvert as an overflow culvert in the case of a heavy rain. The general contractor did suggest I use 20ft culverts, if that's alright. He said this would provide better stability and prevent erosion of the fill material, since the creek bed itself is about 4 feet deep. The fill material is estimated to be 10 cubic yards of mostly ABC gravel. The general contractor did suggest using a small amount of concrete that will be poured by hand to fortify the bridge. I can adjust these plans however needed. Also, please let me know if you need anything further from me. Thanks for all your help.
