Permit: WQ0029635 Owner - Facility: Sunset Pointe on High Rock HOA LLC
Inspection Date: 11/13/2023 Inspection Type: Compliance Evaluation Reason for Visit: Routine
Inspection Summary:
On November 13, 2023, MRO staff responded to a report of a collection line break in a wooded area of the Sunset Pointe
Community. While staff were not present for the collection line repair, photos of the repaire were submitted to the MRO and
have been placed in the electronic file for the facility.
During the site visit, MRO staff conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection under permit# W00029635.
At inital contruction of the WWTP, the treatement system was constructed to accept the full permitted flow of 75,000 GPD.
However, since the development has not been built to completion, the first three treatment pods have been the only pods in
service until 9-2023 when the initial pods were bypassed to employ other system treatment pods to be able to remove solids
from the treatment system.
It has been stated that, in the past, pieces of the system have been borrowed from to keep the system operating and to
save money for the community HOA. The MRO is requesting that a full system inventory be performed to assertain how
much of the system is intact and what areas need to have repairs performed to bring the system to an intact state.
It was also noted that there are no backup UV bulbs onsite. Not having backup material in place may result in the reduction
of WW treatment if supplies are not on -hand to repair the system should any portion of the treatment system fail.
There is an onsite Water Supply Well that provides water to be able to rinse the textile fabric and clean the UV bulbs. There
was a leak discovered in a 3/4 inch line that feeds the pump at the WWTP. The line leak will need to be repaired.
There is damage present in the northeastern section of the vinyl liner of the large lagoon. There is evidence of a patch being
in place in this liner section in the past. The patch has come off leaving the berm soil is exposed with grasses growing in
the exposed soils of the berm. The liner needs to be repaired at the damaged section.
There are three drip irrigation lines in zones 6 and 7 of the application areas are damaged and require repairs. The MRO
suggests that all application areas be inspected to determine the total number of lines that are in need of repair to get the
application areas into compliance with the permit.

Treatment
Are Treatment facilities consistent with those outlined in the current permit?
Do all treatment units appear to be operational? (if no, note below.)
Comment: There is approximately an 8-inch sludge blanket in the Mud well.
Yes No NA NE
/ ]r- ]...1N
The PVC piping that supplies wastewater (WW) from the Biotube Vault to the spray applicators
in pod #2 is broken and pipe with spravers are laving on top of the textile fabric. This piping
will need to be repaired.
AdvanTex pods 5 through 8. 14, and 16 were put into service in September of 2023 to provide
treatment for the facility. These pods are being employed to provide treatment for the
bypassed first four pods that have been removed from service. Pods 5 through 8, 14 and 16,
have not been in service before 9-2023.
No solids were observed to be present in the mud well.
As part of the pod revilization process, any solids present in the pods will need to be disposed
of properly.

Comment: The AdvanTex treatment pods have textile fabric material that need to be changed in pods 1-3.
The textile fabric life in these pods has expired and is no longer capable of capturing the solids
coming from the Biotube Vault that supply WW to the pods. For this reason, scouring is not
acceptable in pods 1-3. Therefore, these pods were taken offline.
