Site inspection was conducted on November 20, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. Kevin
Barnett and Brian Luther were present during the inspection. The site visit was a follow up to a self reported sediment
release on October 27, 2023. The release was from a broken water line on Cherry Mt. Lane.
- Station 159+00-162+00 LT - JS was walked to look at the cleanup. Remediation is complete.
- Station 159+00 LT (Site 12) - Dissipator pad was repaired and is functioning properly.
- Station 186+50 RT (Site 15) - Erosion control was installed and area has been stabilized.
- Station 204+00 LT (Site 17a) - SDO has been maintained and slopes are matted. Rip rap was embedded and top
dressed with native material.
- Station 203+00 RT (Site 17a) - slopes are matted and rip rap was embedded and top dressed.
