The dairy is increasing their animal waste storage capacity. The Anson County Soil and Water Conservation Office completed the current nutrient management plan in November 2022. The increased storage will allow nutrients to be spread on White Rock Farms preferred cropping system and make the waste management system easier to manage. Waste management system design computations are attached. Supporting documents, construction specifications and drawings are included in this submittal. White Rock Farms, LLC have applied for USDA -Natural Resources Conservation Service EQIP cost share assistance for the project. It does not appear they will be eligible for cost share assistance this summer or late fall. White Rock Farms plan on constructing waste storage pond #3 (a satellite pond) this summer to give them an immediate extension in the waste storage period length and then use cost share opportunities to finalize the planned work at the dairy in the next year or so. While the drawings and specifications have been submitted for all the planned work, waste storage pond #3 drawings were the only drawings approved. Other drawings are shown in the DRAFT phase (i.e., additional geology and soil mechanics need to be completed for the planned waste storage pond #2). Surface Water Classification (page 4 of form AWO-State-G-N/E) was submitted to Katie Fontenot on May 18, 2023, in Fayetteville Regional Office for the Regional WQROS supervisors' classification and signature. I understand Katie has a planned dairy inspection in the next few days and plans to review the site locations with White Rock Farms, LLC. In the State General Permit — New or Expanding Animal Waste Operations Form AWO-AWO-STATE- G-N/E, the required items checklist indicates that three copies have been submitted for the planned work. The forms, computations, etc. have been submitted electronically. Let us know if you need a copy of the nutrient management plan submitted in November 2022. If hard copies are required, please, let us know. • Page 2 June 7, 2023 Sincerely, Samuel C.
