The Wilmington District Corps of Engineers (District) is in receipt of your July 24, 2015
letter requesting that the application and file for Cleveland County Water's (CCW) proposed
water supply reservoir near Lawndale, North Carolina remain open until CDM Smith can
complete their study/report on previously requested information by the District. The information
in the report/study was requested in the District's January 8, 2015 letter in order to address issues
in developing the Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed project.
As you have requested, the District will keep CCW's file open until October 15, 2015 in
order to give you time to acquire the additional information and after that date if we have not
received this information CCW's application will be withdrawn and the file will be closed.
