Operation and Maintenance Agreement for Dry Detention Basin- Courthouse Dr. Ext. —
Willces County, NC
Important maintenance procedures:
— I will manage the drainage area to reduce the sediment load to the dry extended
detention basin/ Scour Pool.
I will clean out the scour pool as needed on a regular basin to prevent the accumulation
of sediment and prior to construction to the final design elevation on the approved
plans.
— All spoils will be removed off site and stabilized.
— I will stabilize the site and all slopes such that sediment does not erode to the BMP.
— I will place the required Rip Rap per the plans such that the soils are not compacted.
After the dry detention/ scour pool basin is established, it will be inspected two times a year
and within 24 hours after every storm event greater than 1.0 inches. Records of inspection and
maintenance will be kept in a known set location and will be available upon request.
Inspection activities shall be performed as follows. Any problems that are found shall be
repaired irmnediately.
