Remarks and Recommendations: This report is issued to lift the ICA status on this project. A meeting was held today with Div 9 NCDOT construction staff persent to include Scott Wyrick - lead inspector, Jeremy Guy - Resident Engineer, Wright Archer - District Engineer, Amy Euliss - DEO and Phil Suggs - Roadside Env Field Ops. Dragados also their management and responsible personnel present at this meeting. Dave Wanucha from DWR was present as well. The purpose of the meeting was to develop and enforce communication between crews and crew leaders, DOT inspectors and project management on working within the permitted sites and adjacent to environmentally sensitive areas. Avoidance of accidental and repeated impacts to those areas was stressed and Dragados put forth a form to document their understanding and notification of operations in the permited sites. Major part of the discussion was the need for direct coommunication between the contractor's superintendents and NCDOT inspectors prior to and during any work in the permitted sites. This is to insure BMPs are adhered to at all times. Additionally, Dragados put forth their plan to identify the permitted sites with signs to better enable crews to check the permit drawings and EC and construction plans in a faster manner. At this time, this meeting satisfies the ICA report requirements. 8/25/2015 3:29 PM Page 1 of 1
