We have had a sediment loss on SR-1301 in Randolph County. The loss is estimated at 3 cu yards. The loss
occurred at two of the stream crossing pipes along the road. Both pipes were permitted sites that were
installed last year (Corps Action ID: SAW-2014-01598). The road was in the process of being graded and
channeled in anticipation of paving. There were erosion control measures in place that were overwhelmed by
a rainfall event that was measured at 2.5 inches in about a half an hour according to a local citizen’s rain gage.
The contractor, (Riley Paving) has already started the cleanup by hand and is upgrading the erosion controls
on the site.

Area roadside has inspected the site and has issued an ICA and will re-inspect the site in 5 days. I will update
you on the cleanup in a few days.
