A follow-up review was conducted on 8/25/15 with Asst. Res. Engr., Vanessa Cortes and DOT inspectors that indicated that corrective actions have been taken to bring project back into compliance. DEO, Art King, was on the site Wednesday, August 26 to review stream channel. Art indicated that contractor had removed the majority of sediment from the stream at permit site # 2. Contractor has taken corrective actions by installing weeps in stockpiled material along shoulders to direct runoff to perimerter ditches and reinstalling silt fence over headwall areas of jurisdictional pipes. There are existing measures/basins in ditches from previous maintenance operation that contractor has utilized in placement of weeps, esp. at jurisdictional sites. Due to recent blading work several weeps have been disrupted and need to be reworked at this time to ensure runoff along roadway grade is directed to perimeter ditches. As project progresses, please ensure at the end of each day that weeps are well maintained and functioning properly. Also, note that exposed material along the shoulder needs to be covered in order to comply with NCG01 soil stabilization requirements. NPDES reviews need to resume due to amount of distubed area. 0 8/26/2015 4:02 PM Page 1 of 1
