The plan sheets appear to show the new culvert and the detour pipes overlapping; is that right? Doesn’t that cause constructability issues? Also how are the baffles positioned in the culvert? A profile shows the channel in the middle with higher part of baffles on either side. Do all 3 baffles have the channel in the middle? What is the width of the constructed channel in the culvert (area between higher portions of a baffle)? Will there be any back filling to the floodplain/baffle height – creating the proper width of channel through the culvert, which also provides the recommended dry wildlife passage during normal flows?
