Subject: Blowing Rock Acute Care Access Road and US 321 Projects
Just wanted to let everyone know that Monday afternoon these two projects were hit with an extremely strong intense
thunderstorm. Both projects received over 3” of rain in less than 1 hour and then rained again later Monday night. And
then light sporadic rain yesterday a.m. Each project received the typical damaged during this type of event, stopped up
slope drains, slope washes, basins filling up, silt fence overtopping. Hospital job was mainly the two areas that we’ve
been fighting from the beginning at the bottom where everything ends up. Yesterday everyone went into
cleanup/repair mode but things were still extremely wet. Efforts will continue today.
Thanks
doug
